Finn's Fury: News

UPDATE...Where the? What the? - February 25, 2013

We've been getting a lot of questions as to where Finn's Fury has been and when we're playing again and we feel an explanation is in order to all of you. Last March, 2 days after playing a great gig at Bethpage Restoration Village's 1st Annual St. Patty's Day Festival, Sean (our drummer and founder of Finn's Fury) suffered a stroke. He's doing great, but has taken the year to get his health back in order. He's in excellent physical condition now and looks and feels awesome. We had been in the recording studio working on a new CD for the masses and are back to it again. Be patient...we're coming back stronger than ever. Finn's Fury will be on stage again in the near future! Cheers to you all!

New CD in the works - October 18, 2011

We've been writing and arranging, setting up studio time and planning away. Keep your patience for a wee bit longer. We're gonna try like hell to have a new CD ready for the lot of you by February!

Megan Loomis Joins Finn's Fury - July 19, 2011

For those of you who haven't had the opportunity to spend an evening with us at a live venue, you wouldn't have noticed a new face gracing our stage. Megan Loomis joined us a few months back as our fiddler extraordinaire. She has a voice like velvet, sings a mean June Carter Cash and has been known to rip up the mandolin on occasion! She's an awesome addition to this crew and we're thrilled to have her.

Calum wins again - November 11, 2008

Well, he's done it again!
Add another title to the already stellar list that Calum holds. After a lull of 140 years, the Scottish competition for the title of Fiddler to the Marquis of Huntley was brought back into play. So... Congratulations are in order to Calum Pasqua, our outstanding fiddler, for winning this impressive title! Last year's 2007 Glenfiddich Fiddle Championship held in Blair Castle, Blair Atholl, Scotland, gave Calum the distinction of being the first american to ever win THAT coveted title in the history of Glenfiddich.
